Taoist
Vampire Killer Takes on a western Vampire...
Review:

Exorcist
Master is a film that has a duel between eastern taoist magic
Vs. a very strong western vampire. In this film we learn some
of the differences between chinese and western vampires. The
film takes place in an old gothic type church in china that
is surrounded by a village. The church having been closed for
many years has recently been reopened and in so some people
release a long dormant evil and vampire of the past preacher
of the church. Most of the funny comic elements in this film
deal with Lam Ching-Yings non believer stance when it comes
to the old taoist ways and the newer modern christ beliefs. There
are some very funny moments and a comical city council in the
village made up mostly of criminals and undesirables. There is
lots to be learned in this film like the Mr. Vampire series
about fighting chinese and western vampires. Lam again has his
hands full of Mayhem as the village falls apart and the vampyric
chaos ensues. This film in addition is very funny having Wu
Mah as a vatican certified priest. He's continuously butting
heads with the Eternal Sifu Lam Ching-Ying's Taoist old school
practices. |
