Bunshinsaba is a much better than average Korean horror offering that recently came out on official HK DVD. The horror ghost story in this film has some twists that were a bit surprising. The film holds alot more weight than the similar Whispering Corridors type haunted school films. The story of a ghost (or perhaps ghosts?) that wreak havoc on a village of people with hidden secrets from the past. Sure its been done before but here its done very well indeed. The film has an attractive cast of decent actors and very good special effects that will not let you down. I am sure this will probably be picked up for US release eventually and this film is highly recommended for Asian horror fans. Be sure to get the official release of this not the cam shot crappy version some are selling on ebay. Also only the official DVD's have the correct subtitles. I actually saw the film on DVD in one version that had the english subtitles for an Eddie Murphy film so be smart and buy the correct version, although pricey its worth the investment. We have the official import of this available in the Kyonsi Store.

I can't tell much about the story, do not want to ruin the plot for you. But it involves a girl and her blinded mother moving from the big city to a country village that has , well past problems, secrets, and hidden agendas. This releases the spirits from the past to again seek revenge on the villagers in and around a school setting. This film is highly recommended I must say that again. Far above the quality of some of the Asian horror fodder that's currently being released. This film may just keep you guessing who possessed who? Buy this today!
